PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Lee W. Bass was born in Madison in 1950, living in Arizona and California before returning home to the Midwest.  In 1982 she earned a B.F.A. in painting and textiles from the University of Wisconsin.  Later, she took on the roles of wife, mother, and gardener while working in raptor rehabilitation for the University of Minnesota for 15 years.

Lee has exhibited across the country including group shows in Texas and Vermont and a recent solo exhibition at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Boston, MA.  She was a Critical Mass finalist in 2017.  Her work is included in the collection at the Eastman House International Museum of Photography in Rochester,
